In Bed By Ten was founded in the summer of 2013 by Tavit & Lynn Smith to gather interested ukulele players into a group to play together and have fun. The winter of 2013 saw Tavit & Lynn expanding on this idea to bring a large group workshop to Del Ray Beach, Florida; a venture that was very successful and widely covered by the media in south Florida. Tavit partnered with Mike Fabre in the summer of 2014 to bring the workshop to Rhode Island. The workshop ran all summer at the Kingston Free Library and averaged 40 to 50 players each session.
